Human Resource Manager Job Description

A Human Resource Manager will have a number of responsibilities according to the size of the company they work for. Within large organisations it is not uncommon to have several people heading the HR department all with specific management focus. Usually, managing human resources will entail training, compensation, and recruitment processes. Their job is to be a link between employees and the company, striving to maintain both sides of business.
- The Human Resource Manager’s role has been changing in recent years. Before, the position would have meant policing and systematising executive management. The job would have entailed working with personnel and administration functions in the form of paperwork.
- Nowadays managing human resources has had to adapt to organisations’ development. With an increase in customer centred work and the need to be much quicker and adaptable, so the Human Resource Manager role has moved on. This position will more likely be considered as a strategic partner or a mentor in change within companies. Payroll, paperwork for employees and admin will still be a focus, but there should be assistants to deal with this. An HR manager should manage the people of the company’s activities and needs.
