Human Resources Director – £55,000

FCIPD qualified with at least 10 years experience in HR. Additional qualifications are likely such as an MBA or MSc. Benefits to salary often include a company car, pension scheme and private family health cover.

Chief / Group Human Resources Manager – £45,000-£55,000

Membership of the CIPD with at least 7 years experience in HR. usually should have additional knowledge in health and safety, job evaluation or psychological testing. Benefits often include a company car, private family health cover and a pension scheme.


Human Resources Manager / Consultant – £35,000-£45,000

Should have at least 5 years experience and a CIPD Membership. A human resources manager should be ambitious and be studying for or have attained an MBA or MSc.

Human Resources Advisor / Senior Personnel Officer – £27,000 – £35,000

Graduate or Membership of CIPD normally required although if particularly relevant experience may be considered. Benefits are unlikely to include a car unless considerable travel is involved in the role, but usually includes a pension scheme and private health cover.

Human Resources Officer / Personnel Officer – £22,000 – £27,000

Usually a recent graduate of the CIPD exams, with at least 3 years experience as an Assistant HR/Personnel Officer. Some prior experience as an HR Administrator is looked on favourably. Benefits often include pension.

Human Resources Administrator/Personnel Administrator – £15,000 – £22,000

Possible entry point for a graduate particularly if the course had a strong relevance to HR or the individual went on to study for an MSc in a related field.
