An exciting permanent opportunity for a hands on Compensation and Benefits Manager to work for an international leader in the manufacture and supply of specialised and industrial equipment. Today, the Group employs 1,200 people at its purpose-built headquarters in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England and subsidiaries in Plymouth, Bolton and Dubli. Recognised around the world as a manufacturer of high-quality products. Main Purpose of the role:- To be responsible for managing compensation and benefit programmes for the UK & Ireland, assisting in building a solid value proposition to help retain and engage our employees. To assist in the development building attractive benefit and compensation packages that are comparable to the market assisting with attraction and retention of employeesTo assist the Head of C&B in the development of an effective reward strategy for the regionTo conduct adhoc reviews of key roles within the market putting forward any recommendation to change the benefit and compensation offeringProactive management and delivery of the annual pay and bonus review in the UK & Ireland as well as reporting to our European headquarter, Specifically: Manage the relationship with Willis Towers Watson along with participation in salary surveys and relevant market data comparisonsNew positions and promotions Willis Tower Watson coding and bench marking exercisesManage annual salary reviews, database preparation, communication and delivery which includes Working with relevant stakeholders to manage the salary and bonus budget Review and refine the Companies Incentive Schemes and revise the annual performance bonus schemesQuarterly and monthly reporting requirements to European Headquarters Taking the lead for the firm's benefits including supplier and vendor management. Specifically: Tendering and annual renewal exercisesEnsuring benefits remain competitive and analysed in line with market which includes undertaking periodical benchmarking activities as appropriateContinue to develop an innovative and creative benefits offering To support the analysis of our incentive plans working with the Head of C&B to create an incentive plan system that drives the right behavioursTo assist the Head of C&B with the introduction of a grading system within the companyTo act, alongside the Head of C&B, as the compensation subject matter expert for the broader HR teams as well as the business.Consult and collaborate with HRBPs and Regional Leads as first point of contact for compensation related issues and queries.Proactively keep up-to-date with related People / HR and business issues and initiatives that may impact on the reward strategy and ensure relevant information is shared within the immediate team as appropriate. Ensure that high quality market analysis, based on valid benchmark material regarding the total reward package and the overall market position of company pay is available to Senior Management as required.Work collaboratively within the C&B team, providing back up and support on all areas of reward as required.Participate and lead where appropriate on relevant projectsEmployee Benefit Statementsand any other duties, as required. This role would suit a real hands on individual, (although it is a managerial role there is no line responsibilities). The ability to work as part of a team with the HRBP's and Senior Managers is essential, as well as being able to demonstrate active benefit management and change process. Experience in working with flexi-time and flexible benefits platforms. Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint with knowledge of Job Matching with Grading.
