Description

The Corporate HR and Resourcing Officer plays a vital role in all head office recruitment as well as providing a generalist, HR Business Partner support to corporate managers and employees for this global retail giant.

Primarily the position is responsible for UK head office recruitment across all levels. This includes the complete lifecycle from working with managers to identify and shape role profiles, through to resource identification and on-boarding. As the subject matter expert in resourcing, the role will hold and manage relationships with external recruitment partners in addition to driving regular service reviews and making recommendations to hiring managers. You will also participate in interviews with line managers and support with selection, offering appropriate guidance on relevant selection techniques that can be used.

The company provides career progression for employees from Operations and as a result there is regular rotation into the corporate office for development. You will therefore fully support the workforce planning and the secondment processes, and collaborate with Finance to provide monthly reports on headcount levels and with responsibility for the budgetary management of the centralised recruitment budget.

The role also acts as the first point of contact for generalist HR support and advises on all elements of people management to corporate department heads and line managers. Providing a swift and responsive HR service this includes employee relations issues, performance management, organisational development and change management initiatives, and the provision of people metrics.

The position requires a proven track record and ability to build sustainable business relationships quickly and experience of offering solution focused services to stakeholders. As such you will be a confident communicator, able to advise and influence at senior levels, and with the ability to juggle multiple projects and processes at any one time.

A graduate or equivalent, and CIPD qualified (or studying towards a qualification), you will be ideally suited to a retail or Service orientated environment. Your experience will include a strong emphasis on recruitment and interviewing and supported by generalist HR knowledge to include applying current UK employment law, elements of reward management, performance management and some training development.

It is also essential that you are able to demonstrate strong writing skills, great self-management and prioritisation, the ability to balance reactive HR support with projects and strategic work, and excellent IT skills.
