Our Client is a leading global provider of telecommunications services and they are looking for a Director of the EMEA Shared Services function. This is a new, strategic role for the organisation and involves the transitioning of a shared services function from the continent to the UK as a result of a recent acquisition. The Director of Shared Services will be responsible for planning, managing and monitoring day-to-day HR operations ensuring high quality processes and a high level of customer service. It will involve managing the shared services team who provide guidance to managers on their people management issues including performance management and employee relations issues. Data analysis and reporting is also a requirement of this role, producing accurate and timely HR Dashboard information. Other key responsibilities of this role include reviewing and improving HR processes and communicating these to the business managers and managing the processing of information through the HRIS system. Most importantly the Director of HR Shared Services will instill a culture of continuous improvement through investigating internal and external best practice. An immediate priority will be to support the due diligence and the integration of the new acquisition into the organisation. We are looking for an experienced Head of Shared Services, ideally educated to degree level and a CIPD qualification. Pan European experience is essential for this role and experience in a technology, telecoms or other fast moving sector is preferred. More specifically, a breadth of knowledge of EMEA employment laws and cultural considerations as well as Strong employee relations experience, including experience coaching managers on disciplinary issues, terminations and redundancy situations are highly desirable. Experience of acquisitions and of transitioning a shared services function are highly desirable. The successful applicant will demonstrate high attention to detail, a love of processes and process improvement, be highly customer service orientated with strong stakeholder management skills.
