The Background
A large corporate organisation is currently seeking a Diversity Consultant with excellent experience of working with the senior stakeholders to coordinate diversity, ensuring the company is compliant and meeting it's employment and regulatory diversity obligations. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a company who truly believes in supporting diversity throughout the organisation. This is a new role and will give the job holder a great opportunity to make this role their own and develop and grow within this organisation.
The Role
As the Diversity specialist you'll work closely with the business to provide high level equality and diversity advice, support and guidance to key stakeholders
Key Accountabilities include:
Monitoring the progress toward diversity activities across the organisation and across different work streams
Keeping risk and issues logs and highlighting issues to the Executive team
Support the input to diversity benchmarking exercises
Liaising with action owners regarding progress towards actions
Keeping risk and issue logs and highlight issues to the executive team
Analyse and report on diversity data highlighting trends and issues to the senior executive
Manage the diversity budget
The Person
Of graduate calibre, you'll have proven experience of managing diversity initiatives within the private or public sector together with a working knowledge of employment law, specifically those related to diversity issues. You'll have excellent project management experience in previous organisations across a selection of divisions and departments. With excellent stakeholder management and the ability to influence at all levels, you'll be self-motivated, a self starter and the ability to work well autonomously but also to know when to work collaboratively or engage other to help support the business objectives.
