R13 are working in partnership with a well renowned organisation who offer employment services on a national basis. Based in Norwich City Centre offices, you will occasionally travel to outreach locations through Norfolk (mileage expensed). Working as an Employment Advisor, the main purpose of your role will be to support a caseload of work seekers, assisting them in their transition into employment. Duties to include: Meeting with applicants who have been referred to the centre by the job centre (voluntarily).Providing information about the service and interviewing job seekers to ascertain suitability.Scheduling successful candidates onto programmes of support events and training.Providing one to one mentoring support and coaching to work seekers.Maintaining in-house database to track work seekers progress, adhering to Data Protection.Meeting regularly with your work seekers to discuss their development and to set objectives.Supporting work seekers in overcoming barriers to employment through a variety of initiatives.Signposting work seekers to associated and external provisions in line with their needs.Recognising potential suitable prospect vacancies and supporting work seekers applications.Proactively engaging with local employers to seek prospect opportunities for work seekers.Contributing to meetings and reports; providing information on activity and performance.Travelling to employers sites (Norfolk wide) to carry out premises checks, to support your work seekers, and to continue ongoing dialogue with employers.Develop and maintain knowledge of available benefits and support initiatives.Overseeing and running enrichment activities in absence of internal trainers. *** You will be required to undertake and pass a CRB check*** You will have: Experience within the welfare to work sector, and of the UK Benefits system would be preferred, but not essential.Experience in supporting individuals in making positive transitions is essential.Providing group and / or one to one coaching sessions desirable.Caseload management skills.High level organisational skills coupled with strong administrative and planning ability.All round ICT competency levels, able to learn bespoke systems with training.The ability to problem solve and adapt to a variety of different situations.A dynamic and adaptable personality with a self-motivated and flexible approach.A car and full clean UK driving license is essential.Information, Advice and Guidance qualification or equivalent. Offices are based in the centre of Norwich, with occasional travel to outreach locations in Norfolk and Suffolk (mileage expensed at 45p per mile). This is a 6 month fixed term contract. Salary offered is dependent on experience ranging from 20000 to 22500. Company offers a highly competitive benefits package which includes; 25 days annual leave (+ bank holidays), Christmas shut down on top of annual leave, contributory pension scheme & life assurance after the qualifying period, a cycle to work scheme , healthcare cash plan and various shopping discounts. Working hours 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. The successful individual will be provided with full training and support.
