The Background:

This employer of choice is actively seeking an addition within their International Mobility (IM) Team. Reporting to the HR Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective management and coordination of international assignments for employees within the company.


The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible but not limited to the following:

Ensuring that the terms and conditions relating to assignment/relocation programs are implemented fairly and consistently and in line with the policies

Preparing appropriate: assignment contracts and other relevant documentation prior to and during the assignment, and also to manage effectively subsequent variations and/or extensions.

Undertaking comprehensive briefings with assignees covering all issues relating to their assignment and solving issues on an ongoing basis.

Guiding Country HR in the support of work permit documents, language trainings, lease agreements etc.

Advise home and host country HR, line managers, the assignment approval process and helping them understand the different provisions

Understand principles relating to assignment cost estimates to provide as close as possible to actual cost estimates to business managers

Prepare appropriate assignment contracts and other relevant documentation prior to and during the assignment, and also manage effectively subsequent variations and/or extensions.

Undertake comprehensive briefings with assignees covering all issues relating to their assignment and solve issues on an ongoing basis.

Ensure that all briefing documents relating to assignees is up to date, complete, accurate and relevant in tandem with currency of program policies at all times.

Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) committees for the purpose of improving changes in the process.

Produce timely reports for monitoring key dates impacting on the management of assignments, e.g. work permits, social security, annual allowance payments, assignment end dates, etc.

Prepare appropriate reference letters, memos, ad-hoc letters, and all other related administration.

Conducts survey with local HR on local based allowances for Europe, e.g. housing allowance and transportation allowance to ensure that allowances remain competitive and align with market practice.

Conduct annual surveys with country HR for immigration and tax related updates.
Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with: home and host HR functions to successfully coordinate the end-to-end process for international assignments.


The Person:

The successful candidate will have previous experience dealing with: international assignment, global mobility or expatriate management issues. Applicants will have a basic understanding of the assignment management life cycle and the associated issues. Applicants with additional: HR, expatriate tax or compensation experience would be preferable however additional support will be provided if required. Applicants must be fluent Spanish and English speakers; candidates with another European language would be preferable.
