The Background:

Reporting to the Global Mobility Director the role of International Assignments Manager will be responsible for providing a top tier service to a dedicated portfolio of internal International Assignees. Managing a small team you will ensure all aspects of the International Assignees life cycle, from posting to repatriation/retirement, are delivered in a 100% accurate, timely and confidential manner.


The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Assist with implementation of the International Mobility Framework

Provide overall expatriate management for inbound and outbound assignees

Assist in developing relocation packages, including preparation of cost estimates, making recommendations to service line leaders in various transfer cases.

Work with mobility teams from other countries to ensure smooth and seamless transition for employees and partners who are moving in and out of the area.

Coordinate temporary living arrangements for transferees under the International Mobility Program.

Coordinate payment requests for assignees under the International Mobility Program, including relocation reimbursement requests and other payroll matters.

Manage local vendor relationships e.g. health and travel insurance, accommodation, movers and destination services.

Interact with internal tax team and finance department to ensure appropriate tax filing and reporting.

Able to communicate with service line leaders, other areas of the organization, mobility teams among member firms, and external vendors


The Person:

The successful candidate will have previous experience of: international assignments, expatriate management or global mobility issues. Applicants must have previous people management experience with an excellent understanding of assignment life cycle and the associated issues from start to finish. Applicants with any additional knowledge of expatriate compensation, payroll or taxation methodologies would be desirable.
