The Background:
Due to growth this leading global organization is actively seeking an addition to their Global Mobility team. The successful candidate will adopt a proactive approach to managing International Assignments across the group through timely & accurate preparation of IA compensation packages, payroll instructions and in providing assistance to assignee(s) & families regarding all components of relocation. Candidates should also have a good understanding of International HR practices.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible but not limited to the following:
Facilitation, administration and coordination of all worldwide international personnel transfers (in/outbounds) within area of responsibility (countries/region)
Ensure overall compliance with international tax, social security and immigration laws and regulations for transfers within area of responsibility
Counsel and support of Expatriates (tariff and non tariff) and accompanying family member/s throughout all assignment-related questions before, during and upon termination of assignment
Preparation of assignment related documents, income & tax calculations, and assignment cost estimations for international requisitions
Arrangements for immigration & work permits and other foreign country specific requirements and documents
Monitoring of net salary calculations regarding exchange rate fluctuation and Cost of living development on a regular base.
Support local HR and functional departments in home and host regarding international assignment related questions, assignment types and processes (payroll process, immigrations etc.)
Provide expert counselling to expatriate superiors upon decision on an assignment (taxation, labour law, social security implications etc.)
Main contact for all external providers (Moving company, training providers, tax provider etc.) in area or responsibility
Interface to all internal providers (payroll in respective home and host companies, controlling, inter-company reimbursement, tax department)
Responsibility for up to date data for assignment database within area of responsibility
Support on the optimization and implementation of the international assignment policy & process and assignment related concepts and guidelines
Manage special projects: such as special client requests, repatriation research, Webmaster for the International Assignment Intranet Webpage etc.
The Person:
The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience dealing with: international assignment, global mobility or expatriate management issues. Applicants will have an excellent understanding of the assignment life cycle and the associated issues. Applicants with additional: expatriate tax, payroll or compensation experience would be preferable.
