My client is an IT services group who provide IT systems and resource development services to their clients. Their Talent Management division are currently seeking a Graduate Employability Skills Manager to lead an initiative with a University based in South Yorkshire aimed at improving the skills of students and graduates to enhance their employability. The project will be delivered through a range of training workshops, coaching sessions, group surgeries and mentoring to be delivered by the successful candidate and a member of the project team. The role will involve taking full ownership for delivery of the project, liaising with key stakeholders within the University, marketing the project amongst the student and graduate communities and managing the project team. There will also be responsibility for seeking out six month job placement opportunities for students and graduates by contacting local businesses. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of project delivery and excellent coaching skills. Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience of coaching, training and mentoring to be considered for this role. Sales and marketing skills and commercial acumen are essential for the delivery of this project. The ability to lead a small team is essential.
