Our Motor team is on the hunt for a talented Graduate Statistical Analyst to join them. The successful candidate will need to provide analysis, insight and competitive advantage to the company by producing analysis and reports that maximise the profitability of the company.You will also produce key company reports to the department manager and write reports solving key company questions, learn industry analysis techniques and the SAS software. What we're looking for: Building predictive models using SAS, Emblem, and other software packagesProduction of key business analysis reportsAd hoc project work researching and providing analysis to motor functionMaintenance of analysis programs written in SAS softwareWriting new analysis code using SAS softwarePresenting results in SAS server, Excel and written reportsProduction of findings in a clear and logical mannerPositive manner with ability to communicate well with all colleagues and stakeholders To ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards/ regulations at all timesAny other reasonable duties as required Qualifications Minimum 2:1 (predicted or achieved) in a numerical undergraduate discipline Skills & experience Excellent data and statistical analysis skillsStrong IT skills (including Excel and ideally programming skills) Good communication skills, both verbal and writtenGood time management and organisation skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to adopt a logical approach to solving problemsStrong numerical skills Knowledge Good knowledge of motor insurance products and the motor insurance industry after appropriate trainingSolid understanding of the business objectives and operations Behaviours Logical thinker with solid reasoning abilityCommercially focussedSelf motivated and enthusiasticAn organised and pro-active approachAbility to work on own initiative and as part of a teamA flexible approach and positive attitudeEmphasis on attention to detail and accuracyStrives to drive business improvements to contribute to the success of the business So if you're up for the challenge and wish to join our vibrant and busy team, apply today.
