An opportunity has become available for a Graduate Talent & Development Advisor to join a manufacturing company in Guildford for 3 months on a temporary basis. The role of Graduate Talent & Development Advisor will provide Graduate & Apprentice development support to the Head of Talent & Development, the Human Resources team and line managers across the UK & Ireland.Duties will involve: Manage apprentice recruitment & selection activities to include arranging assessment days and interviews.Coordinate induction & develop mentoring and buddying process for new apprentices.Establish & coordinate process of annual review of Apprentice requirements & placements, via Steering Committee Meeting.Co-ordinate Apprentice Steering Committee team meetings as appropriate.Liaise with the National Skills Academy and National Apprentice Services in connection with funding and training.Develop a training plan for all apprentices including process for coming off the scheme into a permanent role.Organise and co-ordinate the graduate recruitment including the set up and management of the applications, organising the online testing and management of these tests, organising the telephone interview process and leading assessment centre related activities.Lead the Graduate programme and all administration activity in conjunction with the Shared Services Team.Assist with administration of the graduate appraisals and 6 monthly salary reviewsSupport the L&D team as required with L&D initiatives.Lead the mentoring programme The successful candidate for the role will be ideally be graduate calibre with a background of graduate development and/or learning & development. Previous work experience within an HR department is essential and previous experience in a large matrixed company is desirable.
