The creation of this role follows a strategic review of the Learning and Development offering and is an exciting opportunity to develop and create a new and innovative programme, targeted at supporting our 900+ team that will take Hanover forward Key Responsibilities include:. Leading a team of Learning and Development professionals . Creating and delivering an innovative and current Learning and Development strategy, comprising multiple programmes and diverse learning needs. Identifying business Learning and Development requirements and creating programmes that meet business requirements. Management and accountability for the Learning & Development budget, and apprenticeship levy account, ensuring value for money is achieved Who we needThe Head of L&D is a key position; we need proven leaders with significant experience in creating and embedding the L&D agenda and strategy within an organisation. You should have at least 3 years' experience in a similar role, and be comfortable in working in a changing environment. Key Competencies required:. Significant experience in managing, leading and developing teams. Seasoned L&D professional, with Head of Service experience . Knowledge of L&D best practice and current techniques . Excellent communication, relationship management and programme delivery skills. Experience in managing budgets with accountability for income and expenditure . Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to initiate and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders .
