Description
The Government believes that we need to protect the environment for future generations, make our economy more environmentally sustainable, and improve our quality of life and well-being. Defra is the UK government department responsible for policy and regulations on the environment, food and rural affairs and is an innovative and high performing department, currently employing 8,800 staff, including those in its executive agencies to deliver this vision.
Reporting directly into the HR Director, the Head of Organisational Development and Talent is a key role Defra's newly restructured HR team. As such, this is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, energetic and personally accomplished OD and Talent professional who will focus on delivering results through developing strong relationships and defining a robust and engaging agenda.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, this position will play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of a wide range of projects and initiatives that will be critical to building organisation capability and developing a high performance culture. Facilitating the change agenda, you will use your impact and influence, together with your breadth of experience to produce measurable results across an integrated OD and Talent service.
This is a high profile role that requires a talented individual with vision and a proven track record, who can join the Defra HR team and make an immediate impact in driving culture change across the department. You will ideally be CIPD qualified and must have significant experience of introducing and leading organizational development and talent management across large, multi-disciplinary and complex environments.
In return this is a superb opportunity to develop and progress within your existing specialism or to diversify your skills within Defra or wider Government departments.
