Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Human Resources Administrator to work at this leading organisation within the motor industry. Our client is one of the UKs largest independent suppliers of high quality automotive aftermarket products to independent garages and national brands. The role is to provide general administration support to the HR Team on all aspects of the HR Function, based at Cowley in Oxford.
You will be the first point of contact for managers on basic HR related queries and escalating issues to HR Advisors and Specialists as appropriate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Updating the internal vacancy list and uploading adverts onto the corporate vacancies website.
* Checking employee eligibility to work in the UK documents and chasing missing documents.
* Producing contracts, adjustment letters and reference requests.
* Tracking, chasing and reporting on the non-return of contracts and other new starter paperwork.
* Reviewing and actioning all changes to employee details on the HRIS.
* Overseeing and extending fixed term contracts.
* Liaising with payroll, line managers, other departments and external bodies as necessary.
* Leaver administration.
* General office duties, including the daily sorting of post, filing, answering the phone, stationery.
* Providing administrative support to the HR Advisors and Specialists for the disciplinary, grievance and capability processes.
* Arranging meetings/support for the field based HR Team.
REQUIREMENTS
* A good standard of education
* Previous experience in an administrative capacity
* A knowledge and interest in HR
* Absolute discretion and confidentiality
* Fully computer literate Lotus notes, PowerPoint, Word and Excel (including mail merge)
* An excellent communicator both written and oral, with strong interpersonal skills and a good telephone manner
* Attention to detail
* Proven organisational skills, good time management, and an ability to remain calm under pressure.
This is a permanent Monday to Friday position and you will receive a salary of £16,000 pa.
