Description

Our client is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their team for a period of twelve months to cover maternity leave. Reporting into the HR Business Partner duties will include:-

  • Maintaining and developing commercial knowledge of the rapidly changing business environment and be a key contributor to the businesses decision making process
  • Project managing organisation changes
  • With managers, develop departmental people plans; driving/supporting the delivery of core business objectives and strategic initiatives
  • Project managing department business objectives in line with the strategic HR plan
  • Working with the Recruitment Team to provide advice and support with the recruitment and selection of staff
  • Providing advice and support with retention issues
  • Providing excellent customer service to managers and employees on operational HR issues
  • Assessing training needs to maximise people's potential and where needed design and deliver training programs
  • Working with managers to ensure talent management principles and ways of working are truly embedded
  • Identifying current and future critical roles and delivering succession planning for client groups
  • Supporting managers in developing their team
  • Identifying, mapping and reviewing talent
  • Maintaining a good working knowledge of legislative requirements and ensuring that these are met when offering support and advice to managers
  • Advising, supporting and challenging managers on people practice and development
  • Designing and implementing HR policies
  • Developing effective relationships with Directors, managers and employees

Person Specification

  • CIPD qualification is desirable
  • Excellent generalist HR experience
  • A strong understanding of UK employment law
  • Change management experience
  • Proven ability in coaching and mentoring techniques
  • IT literate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Project management skills
