Description
Our client is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their team for a period of twelve months to cover maternity leave. Reporting into the HR Business Partner duties will include:-
- Maintaining and developing commercial knowledge of the rapidly changing business environment and be a key contributor to the businesses decision making process
- Project managing organisation changes
- With managers, develop departmental people plans; driving/supporting the delivery of core business objectives and strategic initiatives
- Project managing department business objectives in line with the strategic HR plan
- Working with the Recruitment Team to provide advice and support with the recruitment and selection of staff
- Providing advice and support with retention issues
- Providing excellent customer service to managers and employees on operational HR issues
- Assessing training needs to maximise people's potential and where needed design and deliver training programs
- Working with managers to ensure talent management principles and ways of working are truly embedded
- Identifying current and future critical roles and delivering succession planning for client groups
- Supporting managers in developing their team
- Identifying, mapping and reviewing talent
- Maintaining a good working knowledge of legislative requirements and ensuring that these are met when offering support and advice to managers
- Advising, supporting and challenging managers on people practice and development
- Designing and implementing HR policies
- Developing effective relationships with Directors, managers and employees
Person Specification
- CIPD qualification is desirable
- Excellent generalist HR experience
- A strong understanding of UK employment law
- Change management experience
- Proven ability in coaching and mentoring techniques
- IT literate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Project management skills
