Description
HR Advisor, Crawley, West Sussex.
My well known and international client is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Advisor to join their newly established shared services team for a 3 month contract, to provide support and guidance to employees and managers at all stages of the employment life cycle.
Main accountabilities will include:
- Providing support and guidance on the following area: Flexible Working / Work Life Solutions, Maternity, Paternity & Adoption, Sickness Absence, advise of disciplinary and grievance processes, contractual changes, performance management as well as the process when leaving the organisation and all other HR policies and procedures.
- Support the business by offering advice and guidance to managers on HR best practice and policy to build management capability.
- Liaising with operational Human Resources teams on people related issues that require further input to arrive at an appropriate solution in line with Company Policies and processes.
- Support line management with individual cases relating to disciplinary, grievance, sickness, under performance and dismissal. Advising only on these matters as formal support in the cases will be handled by HR Business Partners.
- Acting as the focal point for advice and guidance to line managers/employees on terms and conditions of employment relating to an individual's employment contract and covering the range of both collective and personal contracts.
- Identify and deliver procedure, process and system changes or opportunities that support business initiatives ensuring a high quality HR service are delivered to the business.
- Proactively support relationships with stakeholders such as Business Unit HR teams, internal and external job applicants and Business Managers.
- Support projects relating to new activities in HR Shared Services as required.
- Supporting the operational Human Resources teams with business unit change programmes that require the interpretation, verification, manipulation of data relating to employment terms and conditions of individuals to support the change process.
- Escalate serious HR issues identified as appropriate in line with the agreed escalation process and procedure.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a customer focussed HR environment and a strong ability to advise and guide employees and line managers on best practice and policy. They will also have an up to date knowledge of employment law and must be immediately available.
