HR Advisor Salary: 30,000 per annum Location: Taunton, Somerset Full time Job Description We are working exclusively with our client on an HR Advisor position. The successful post-holder will be based at their state of the art lab/ offices in Taunton, Somerset with occasional travel to South Wales and London. Main duties include: To provide the full range of comprehensive and generalist professional HR services to all stakeholders including managers, partners and staff with the intention of achieving excellent standards of service quality. To build and maintain credible and productive relationships by working in partnership with Senior Management Team, Operational Managers, all employees, HR colleagues and staff representatives To be responsible for the operational delivery of generalist HR services to all stakeholders. Employee Relations related responsibilities. Change Management, assisting the Regional HR Manager in advising managers on implementing changes to organisational structures (including consulting with staff and their recognised Trade Union/ Professional Organisation. Desired Skills and Qualifications Graduate membership of the CIPD or higher. Educated to degree level. Good working knowledge of running a payroll, undertaking reconciliation of a payroll and progressing staff changes through the payroll Significant experience of working as an HR Advisor or equivalent including a substantial ER and industrial relations remit Experience of advising managers on the application of employment law and policies. Up to date knowledge of employment legislation. Ability to build positive relationships with managers, colleagues and Trade Union representatives. Ability to present information to groups of staff in a confident manner. Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work productively as part of a team. Experience of working in an employee relations role in NHS environment (Desirable). Experience of Agenda for change terms and conditions of employment (Desirable). Experience of working in a unionised environment (Desirable). Experience of advising managers at disciplinary hearing and other formal hearings (Desirable).
