We currently have a fantastic opportunity for HR Advisor at Travelport to be based at our Global HQ in Langley, Berkshire (easily accessible via Paddington or Hatton Cross stations - free company shuttle bus provided and plenty of onsite parking). As the HR Advisor you would be responsible for building performance effectiveness with assigned location and groups with key focus on talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, training and development and employee relations. You would support the HRBP in the delivery of timely, effective, and business aligned generalist HR consultancy support and advice contributing directly to the achievement of Travelport strategies and goals. You would be accountable for providing HR services primarily to UK and US based technology employees within the Centre of Excellence and Travelport Business Systems. As the HR Advisor you would ideally be CIPD qualified, with a background within UK employment law, coaching and guiding line managers in employee relations queries, talent acquisition and performance management, along with the ability to construct and deliver manager and team lead presentations on topical HR subjects. Excellent communication skills, verbally and written. Knowledge of TUPE would be highly advantageous. Main Accountabilities: Recruitment & Selection Liaison with Snr Program Mgr in team to support implementation of Workforce 2020 strategy and ensure alignment of induction/assimilation/retention activities. In conjunction with Talent Acquisition team, lead on the creation of graduate and intern intake programs in the UK. Utilize available reference sources (such as Talent Neuron for resourcing data) to support hiring plans Manage the requisition quality ensuring correct cost centres, liaise with line managers on job profile details (including customization as required for local specifics) with essential and preferred criteria clearly identified for candidate requirements Support the hiring manager in creation of structured competency based interviews and assessment of evidence to drive continuous improvement in recruitment of high calibre qualified staff to achieve the business targets for each area, within budgeted staffing plans. Reward & Recognition . Assess compensation and benefits queries raised by line managers & HRBP, e.g. in recruitment, promotions/re-grades, in accordance with the appropriate policies and best practices. . Work with HRBP and line managers to implement and support the annual performance management and CRD (common review date) processes. Engagement & Retention Support data analysis on annual Express Yourself Survey and participate in managerial briefings / focus groups / action planning. Conduct 'stay interviews' with targeted high potential / high performing employees to facilitate retention and recommend development activities (shadowing, mentoring, job rotations etc). Employee Relations Provide relevant and appropriate advice, coaching and guidance to managers and employees on a variety of HR issues to ensure fair and consistent treatment and enable the various client groups to effectively deal with a changing business. These issues include HR policies, legislation, changing terms and conditions, benefits, career development, grievances, disciplinary issues, absence and performance issues, individual counseling and terminations. Manage standard employee relations matters including Flexible Working requests (UK), family leave requests and sickness absence management. Support the HRBP in preparation and implementation of terminations and outsourcing activities / due diligence assessments as required. Performance Management / Learning & Development Liaison with Talent Development Manager to continuously drive a high performance and change management culture in the organization in alignment with the Workforce 2020 strategy Coach managers in performance management skills - how to plan and deliver developmental and corrective feedback conversations and construct meaningful Development Plans and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) Plan and deliver manager and team lead 'lunch & learn' sessions on knowledge requirements and core skills for recruitment & selection, coaching & feedback, performance management, 70/20/10 learning model, development planning, absence management etc. This is a permanent position and we are offering the opportunity to work in an innovative, fast-paced & friendly environment.
