Linked Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a Verwood based company for a HR Advisor. Our client requires someone with a strong background in casework - handling absence management, disciplinary's etc. CIPD level 3 is a minimum requirement. Responsibilities: Being a first point of contact for managers and employees coming to HR with questions and concerns. You will need to use your judgment to provide advice and guidance for how to handle/ resolve situations informally as a first step. Managing a diverse caseload to include: - Disciplinary - up to and including gross misconduct.You will be responsible forpreparing all documentation, ensuring managers are trained to run the meetings, taking minutes and providing guidance on what is appropriate, in terms of sanctions. - Long term sickness / capability issues - including welfare meetings with employees, providing updates to managers, liaising with occupational health and other medical professionals and suggesting an appropriate solution for managing employees to return to work. - Performance monitoring processes - working with managers to identify individuals who are not performing; and putting together an appropriate and specific performance improvement plan. You will then also need to document the process, including minutesfrom formal meetings and producing letters to confirm warnings / outcomes to the individual. - Grievance - being the HR representative for grievance's that are raised. Ensuring a full and fair investigation takes place, agreeing appropriate outcomes and writing responses for employees. - You will be a point of escalation for the HR Administrator, to provide guidance regarding cases they may be handling. Both in terms of bestpractice from a legal perspective and also to ensure we are acting in line with our culture and core company values. You will also be responsible for various recruitment projects and adminstrative tasks. Skills and experienceExperience handling a range of employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, performance monitoring, grievances and capability cases - up to and including dismissals.The ability to quickly understand business priorities and be able to meet changing demandsAble to meet deadlinesProactive and organized in your approachExcellent attention to detailSelf-motivated, disciplined and willing to learnExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities and remain effectiveMon-Fri office hours Free car parking Equal opportunities agency
