HR ADVISORKINGSTON-UPON-THAMESAbout the role The HR Advisor is responsible for assisting the HR Manager with the delivery of the people strategy to meet organisational and departmental objectives whilst actively supporting the operation of the business by delivering an effective, proactive and professional HR service. Main responsibilities Coordinate recruitment and selection activities, including liaising with recruitment agencies and other suitable sources, updating company intranet, liaising with applicants and line managers, ensuring that costs are minimised and all stages within the recruitment process are undertaken in a timely manner.Work with line managers throughout the recruitment process, reviewing CVs and application forms, shortlisting candidates on their behalf and advising them on suitability of candidates throughout the process, ensuring that the recruitment policy is adhered to at all times, minimising the risk of recruiting unsuitable candidates and candidates with high potential are selected.Carry out interviews where appropriate together with line managers, senior management and the HR Manager, ensuring that the company recruitment policy is adhered to at all times.Ensure all speculative CVs received are logged and responded to in a timely manner.Manage the new starter process including contract pack preparation, background screening, preparing induction folders and creating role specific familiarisation programmes.Implement the security vetting process for potential and existing employees as per company procedures.Carry out the HR 3 month review process with employees and ensure that end of assessment period process is carried out by line managers in a timely manner.Coordinate and management student work experience programmes, including liaising with the appropriate educational body, creation of work experience itinerary and induction of student.Liaise with the payroll bureau regarding all monthly payroll adjustments and payroll queries.Liaise with benefit providers and brokers to ensure that employee information is accurately maintained and audited.Process monthly staff salary exchange schemes including pension, gym membership, childcare voucher cycle.Respond to queries and provide advice and guidance to employees and managers relating to reward, remuneration, employee benefits and payroll.Produce all staff correspondence including amendment to contracts and benefit confirmation letters.Support the HR Manager in the annual salary review and bonuses process.Maintain and update employee records both electronically and in hard copy, ensuring accuracy of data and that data is securely filed in accordance with Data Protection regulations and requirements.Provide advice and support to line managers in areas such as recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, change management, HR policies and policy implementation.Handle disciplinary, grievance or capability investigations and hearings/meetings to ensure a fair process and that legal requirements are complied with.Manage staff absence process in relation to holiday reconciliation, maternity, adoption, parental paternity and shared parental leave.Undertake leaver process including arranging leaver surveys.
