My client is looking to recruit a HR Advisor. Reporting in to a HR Shared Service Team Leader the post holder will provide high quality HR advice on a breadth of HR issues via telephone and email, on a right first time basis. Key Responsibilities: Providing HR operational guidance and support to line managers and employees on policies and procedures. To support and guide line managers and employees through more complex processes providing coaching and training to managers. Acting as a liaison between the transactional Shared Service teams and our wider HR teams (HR Business Partners) to support managers and employees with advice and guidance. Key Skills and Qualifications: Ability to effectively communicate at all levelsAbility to provide a high quality service to all our customersA good working knowledge of current employee legislation and its practical applicationExcellent knowledge of the Data Protection Act and its implications for KierTo be able to prioritise workloads in order to meet tight deadlines and ensure SLA/KPI's are metAbility to demonstrate discretion and integrityAble to work using own initiative, showing attention to detail and a strong customer focusShows an organised, methodical approach to their work and can demonstrate previous experience of effectively dealing with all types of employees in a professional mannerProblem Solving - Must demonstrate a methodical, analytical and clear approach to problem solving and managing ad hoc projectsHave a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)Other duties as required from time to timeCIPD qualified to a minimum of level fiveAbility to communicate and gain credibility at all levelsAbility to build and maintain strong internal relationships across the HR functionProfessional, able to work under pressure, enthusiastic and committed to working within their team to effectively support the needs of the business.Committed to continuous professional development. Working pattern The HR Shared Service Centre operates between 08.00 and 18.00 between Monday and Friday. A 7.5 hour shift pattern is in operation between those hours. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, it is not always possible to get back to you within 24 hours. However, your application will be reviewed by a Consultant as quickly as possible and if you are shortlisted we will aim to call you within two working days.
