A fantastic maternity cover opportunity has become available for a HR and H&S Administrator to join a forward thinking and fast growing company, which produces arguably the comfiest sofas in the world. Due to our rapid growth, we need support at our Distributions Centres for all our HR and H&S activities. We want the company to be a great place to work for everyone and a key part of this role is encouraging the right sort of culture and working environment. You'll do this by playing a key role supporting managers and colleagues in ensuring all HR and H&S processes and policies are implemented and followed effectively Duties will include: HR Recruitment and Selection Assisting department manager with recruitment and ensuring team has full resource at all time Responsible for ensuring completion of the reference check for new employees Issuing of offer letters (including new starter form, relocation letters) On-boarding and Induction Ensuring all employees receive necessary documents and company copies are returned (example: contract of employment, contract change and Company policy) Coordinate induction programmes and ensuring all employees signed copies are filed and documented in HR (Youmanage) software Admin/ HR Database Absence management and analysis of employee sickness, responding to queries on ad hoc absence (maternity/paternity, compassionate leave, parental leave), processing necessary correspondence and communication with payroll/line manager Set up, maintain and archive employee personal files by conducting regular audits to ensure content compliance Responsible for the compliance and processing of all employees data (starters, leavers and current staff) accurately and on time Sending out Pension letter to employees that have passed their probation period Ensure that all general HR administration support is provided for the Managers Consistently deliver an accurate and timely response to day-to-day queries Conducting/ assisting meetings including disciplinary/Grievance Continuously improve and implement HR processes Executing other tasks as assigned by Manager Training and Development Support in training and development of all employees Payroll Payroll input for hourly paid employee's every fortnightly Processing staff expenses in line with payroll schedules H&S Manage all aspects of H&S across all distribution centres, including: Ensuring New Starters receive all H&S relevant induction, documents and training in a timely manner, and keep H&S database up to date in relation to employee activities Ensuring all employee-related H&S tasks are communicated, monitored and managed within the appropriate timeframes Liaising with line managers and H&S external contractors to ensure all H&S alerts are being dealt with and solved within agreed time by using H&S software Coordinating all relevant safety checks on regular basis (daily, weekly, monthly) in line with relevant H&S compliance Ensuring accident reporting is undertaken, filed accurately and reported in line with legal and best practice requirements Assisting Warehouse manager with machinery/ tools in the warehouse Periodic inspections of the warehouse
