HR AssistantOur client has an exciting opportunity for a HR Assistant to join the growing team based in TewkesFull time contract basis to cover maternity leave, you will receive a competitive salary.Our client is an independent, family-owned company, who are looking for a HR Assistant to join their team on maternity cover.The HR Assistant RoleThis role is based at our clients Tewkesbury headquarters; however, you will occasionally be required to carry out your responsibilities across our other depots. Duties: Managing all aspects of the Recruitment process, from placing adverts to taking part in interviews, producing offer packs, obtaining references and collecting proof of right to workCompleting Company inductions, for all new employees & ensuring probation paperwork is completedProviding Administrative support in relation to all HR activitiesProviding information and advice in a consistent and efficient manner covering all HR policies and proceduresSupporting Managers, with employee relations issues, including; disciplinaries, grievances, sickness absence & performance managementMaintaining the HR database, and producing reports, to ensure personnel information is kept updatedPromoting and administering employee benefitsAssisting with sourcing and delivering training e.g. customer service trainingAny other duties, as assigned by the HR Officer or DirectorsEssential HR Assistant RequirementsCertificate in Personnel Practice (as a minimum, with the plan to progress to full CIPD status)Previous HR experience, working within a complex business environmentStrong IT SkillsStrongunderstanding of Employment law and good practiceKnowledge of the Data Protection ActWillingness to travel to other depotsConsiderable experience of Human Resources, with the primary responsibility for recruitment and administrationPossess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels (including senior managers)Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and work to tight deadlinesPossess up-to-date Employment Law knowledgeA self-starter with the ability to use own initiative and adopt a pro-active approachCompetent with Word and Excel packagesDesirable HR Assistant RequirementsExperience of working with HR systems and producing reportsWorking Hours: 8am-4.30pmParking available onsite.
