Mergermarket Ltd, part of the Financial Times Group, is an M&A intelligence service providing actionable analysis to a large portfolio of clients in the M&A arena.
A vacancy has arisen based in our London office for an HR Assistant with responsibility for the entire EMEA region. This role is being offered on a fixed term basis of six months with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Reporting to the HR Advisor, this role is the first point of contact for a wide range of general HR queries above and beyond pure HR administration queries.
Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar role and will be looking to take on more advisory responsibility.
Key Responsibilities include:
Recruitment - overseeing the process for the London office from proof-reading job descriptions to advertising the role internally and externally as well as advising managers on best practice
Inductions with new joiners and implementing leaving procedures, including exit interviews
Managing maternity leave and advising on our policy
Monitoring and sick leave and making recommendations to managers
Update and maintain all HR databases and files
Issue contracts to new employees (permanent, interns, casual workers)
Managing London office's sponsorship of visas
Updating HR pages of intranet
Ad-hoc project work
Skills required:
The ideal candidate would have the following:
Knowledge or experience of working within employment law frameworks
Great attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a customer service orientation
Ability to work autonomously and take your own initiative
Highly organised
Proficient in Microsoft Office
