Human Resources Manager

Liverpool, UK

Role Description

As a member of the management team, this individual will be responsible for providing Human Resources support to the Liverpool service center. In this role you will implement corporate and regional HR policies and programs that support the Company's overall strategic direction, as well as providing business partner support to the local management team. This is a hands on role, where the HR Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the function including recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, employee relations, training and development, etc.. The Manager of Human Resources will report directly to the Senior Director of Human Resources, EMEA.

Responsibilities

  • The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, polices, procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, development of commercial HR within the company

  • Manage delivery of HR programs to retain, reward and motivate employees.

  • Partner with management on all aspects of people-management and leadership. Focus is on staffing, performance management, organizational development and effectiveness, and management effectiveness.

  • Support training and development projects

  • Proven Knowledge and practical application of UK HR practices and employment law

  • Participate in/lead and rollout various HR related projects. (i.e. employee relations, retention and reward programs)

  • Work in partnership with the EMEA senior management Client Delivery team to enable delivery of the Liverpool business plan.

  • Act as a member of the senior management team within the Liverpool Client Delivery organization.

  • Coach and influence managers from a people perspective, developing their people management/ leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • University degree is required

  • MBA or/and CIPD is desirable

  • A minimum of 6 - 10 years' experience in Human Resources, a minimum of which 3 should be at management level

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to express concepts effectively

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Must be proactive with solid organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong people management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects seamlessly

  • Highly motivated individual with strong sense of ownership & a desire to work in a fast paced environment

  • An interest in learning and development and reward and retention
