An opportunity has arisen for a HR Business Partner to join the Bank of Ireland UK HR team. The HR team comprises a Senior HR BP and two HR BPs who support and advice the management and leadership team for Bank of Ireland UK`s Mortgage business with circa 700 staff across the UK. Working closely with the other Bank of Ireland HR Divisions, Centres of Excellence (CoEs) and key stakeholders across the wider Bank of Ireland HR Group, the successful candidate will: Work closely with and support the Senior HR BP in the planning and implementation of HR initiatives and interventions to support each business unit to drive key areas such as performance management, employee engagement, increasing capability, retention and communications. Build strong working relationships with line managers to understand their business objectives, challenges, opportunities and risks, and support them in delivering the people agenda and building engagement levels. Work collaboratively with the Learning Partnerin driving the businesses learning agenda through masterclasses, sharing best practice, supporting the learning planning process etc. with a particular focus on capability uplift requirements including people management skills capability. Provide expert HR advice to people managers, and pro-actively manage the day-to-day HR advice requests from customers ensuring they are addressed through the appropriate support structure - HRBP, CoEs, HR Ops, HR Advisory teams. Collaborate proactively with the HR CoEs to ensure optimum and efficient support and engagement with the business units. Coach, develop and support line management to develop their people management capability. Play a key role in the implementation of key strategic HR initiatives and policy as required. Manage specific HR projects & People elements of business projects as designated, to deliver solutions, which meet identified business requirements, working with the Centres of Expertise and HR Operations as appropriate. Work with the business to identify high level specialist or expert resourcing requirements and provide expertise throughout the recruitment process alongside CoE colleagues. Remain abreast of HR, legal, regulatory and Group HR policy developments to identify potential impacts on the business, suggesting options to minimise risk to the business, and ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and expertise: Proven experience as a HR Professional with a strong appreciation of a Business Partner Operating Model.Strong customer focus and proven ability to develop and implement HR solutions which address client issues and add value.An ability to develop, build and maintain credible and effective working relationships with people managers and other key stakeholders including providing constructive challenge where appropriate.Strong coaching skills combined with good judgment and discretion; the ability to act as a "sounding board" for Management team members.An ability to manage a range of diverse and complex issues while maintaining an overall perspective and ensuring the Senior HRBP is informed of all key business priorities / issues.Strong planning, organisational and analytical skills to support delivery of the HR agenda.Results focussed, with high levels of energy and bias for action and results, coupled with an ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and deadlines.Highest levels of integrity, confidentiality and discretionCIPD
