Description
HR Business Partner / HR BP / HR Generalist / MCIPD
Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, Commutable from Chester, Runcorn, Birkenhead and Wrexham
Salary £32,000 to £35,000 + 10% Bonus + Company Car + Pension
Two Year Fixed Term contract, with potential for a permanent appointment
Our client is the global leader and innovator in inspection, verification, testing and certification services. Founded in 1878, they are recognised as the global benchmark in quality and integrity. With over 69,000 employees, they operate a network of over 1,000 offices and laboratories around the world.
They currently have an exciting opportunity to develop your generalist HR skills in a highly commercial and rewarding context where the function is respected for being integral to a successful business. Our client seek an experienced HR practitioner to join the centrally based UK team, initially to ensure continuance of service during a period of maternity leave, and thereafter supporting a commercially focused HR team to enable the Company's ambitious growth plans. Subject to further increases in headcount via acquisition or organic growth, there exists the possibility that the successful applicant may be retained on a permanent basis following the initial fixed term period.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the provision of generalist HR services for one of the main operational areas, whilst also contributing to delivery of Group/UK HR initiatives that ensure continuous improvement in the people management practices. Using your knowledge of current employment legislation allied to a pragmatic and common sense approach, you will provide advice and guidance to management at all levels on a range of HR-related matters, including talent acquisition, managing rewards, HRIS, employee relations and learning & development.
The successful candidate will be MCIPD qualified and will have an appropriate level of previous experience within a hands-on generalist HR role, preferably in a multi-site, B2B service context. They are looking for a self-motivated individual who has the ability to influence others, whilst developing and maintaining progressive working relationships with people at all levels.
