About Us Rocket Internet UK, a part of Rocket Internet GmbH, has recently opened an office in the heart of the city and is looking to hire a permanent, generalist HR Manager to assist in the Company's expansion. Rocket Internet, being Europes most successful and well-known internet incubator, develops web-based businesses around the world. We have been involved in starting up many companies including eDarling, Zalando, Groupon, Wimdu, GlossyBox, West Wing and many other successful start-ups. Your Role This is a stand-alone role initially, enabling you to cover a wide range or HR-related and other tasks to expand the business. As a member of the Rocket Internet UK team, you will: - recruit top business talent, spanning a range of experience from new graduates to qualified professionals skilled in various disciplines - manage the entire employment cycle, from issuing contracts and instructing payroll to managing exits - establish and manage required HR policies and procedures - provide HR advice to all employees - embrace additional responsibilities as directed by the Managing Directors The offer: - a chance to be a part of a young, dynamic and fast growing company in the early stages of global expansion - a friendly and supportive team working within a start-up environment - to work alongside entrepreneurial and business development professionals within a high performance culture offering many learning opportunities - a competitive salary, with future prospects for career development - can be full or part-time depending on the candidate About you Ideally you will have studied an HR or Psychology-related degree or, you will be part or fully CIPD qualified. We are looking for someone who: - has at least one years hands-on HR experience with a sound understanding of UK HR Legislation (an understanding of international assignments is advantageous) - has previous recruitment and selection experience particularly within investment banking and/or management consulting (this will be pivotal initially) - is able to work independently, with flexibility to manage multiple projects - motivated to succeed, you will be quick to identify new challenges and opportunities - is a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills - has experience of in working under pressure in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment - seeks the opportunity to design the scope of their role with the potential to grow the HR team as the business develops Excited by the prospect of joining us?
