HR Manager - Competitive Salary and Excellent Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor to join our Global Pharmaceutical Client based in Hertfordshire, to provide the highest quality HR support to designated business functions so that they can achieve their commercial objectives. Supporting the Associate HR Director, the HR Manager will take a lead role, working closely with all members of the EMEA Department, in developing and implementing UK and EMEA HR strategies, programmes, activities, policies and procedures to support the current and future needs of the EMEA business

Provide leadership in the following activities:

* Supporting the work of the Associate HR Director
* Designing and implementing HR strategies
* Building people capability
* Planning resources
* Supporting recruitment activities
* Providing business advice and support
* HR Operations
* Any other EMEA HR support activities

Key Responsibilities:

* Work with the Associate HR Director and Senior VP to design, develop and implement HR strategies for the UK, Ireland, Nordics and Netherlands
* Ensure that service levels meet or exceed the expectations of their designated internal client departments
* Where appropriate be a Line Manager for an HR Advisor or HR Associate
* Represent the UK HR function in its interactions with the business in other regions, principally Japan and the US
* Support talent acquisition activities and ensure that all positions are filled appropriately and in a timely manner
* Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures
* Ensure compliance with applicable employment law at all times
* Oversee all performance, grievance and other employee relations issues in a legally compliant and professional way

Qualifications / Experience / Skills:

Essential:

* This position would be suitable for either a Senior HR Advisor or an HR Manager
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a well established University
* Strong interpersonal skills and a flexible approach to supporting the differing needs of colleagues with a wide range of employment issues
* Ability to quickly establish credibility with excellent stakeholder management skills
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Confident influencing and facilitation skills
* Able to provide clear direction and supervision to direct reports
* Organisation, Prioritisation and Time Management skills
* Adaptable to changing conditions with the ability to generate effective and pragmatic solutions to new situations and problems as they are presented
* Proactive and positive approach to the workplace and commitment to working flexibly to support achievement of departmental objectives
* Self-sufficient in the utilisation and application of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Desirable:

* MCIPD Qualified
* Experience of working in an HR Department within the Life Sciences sector
* Line Management experience
