My client, operating in the publishing/creative space is looking for an experienced Generalist HR Manager for a 9 month maternity cover. The role is an ASAP start. You will be responsible for providing a proactive HR generalist service to around 500 employees within a creative and busy environment. Working as part of a small HR team, you will report into the Head of HR and you will have management responsibility of the HR Advisor and Assistant. This is a full generalist role, focusing on coaching line managers, overseeing recruitment, employee relations, comp & ben and L&D. Candidates will have a strong HR Generalist background and ideally will have worked in the creative space and used to a more fluid HR style and approach. You will have a flexible and adaptable approach, be tenacious, with bundles of energy and enthusiasm. You must have experience of managing junior HR colleagues. This role is an immediate start, so suitable candidates with a shorter notice period or immediate start are preferred, but not essential.
