My client, a multi-award winning global communications (comms) agency is looking for an experienced HR Manager (used to dealing with European geographies) to join their small HR team during a period of exciting change. This role could also suit a Senior HR Advisor looking for their next step into an HR Manage role. Candidates must have strong European HR experience.
Reporting into the Head of HR and working out of fantastic modern offices, you will be responsible for providing full generalist operational HR support to the EMEA region (c170 staff), but will also be connected to a wider global HR team.
Based in the UK you will be supporting other European offices, including Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Sweden.
The HR Manager is responsible for ensuring key HR services and consultancy are delivered for the assigned regions. The HR Manager consults with line managers to identify and solve key operational issues to recruit, develop and retain top talent for assigned countries as well as ensures day-to-day HR operational requirements run smoothly.
You will be the main point of contact for any ER issues with the EMEA region and will be responsible for partnering with people managers to deal with these issues effectively within the country specific law, whilst taking a balanced commercial approach.
Candidates must have strong HR experience of dealing with ER within EMEA geographies (especially Europe), at an HR Manager or Senior Advisor level and will be comfortable navigating the employment law in the regions. You will also know when to seek outside legal support. You will also have experience of recruitment and sourcing candidates in fast-paced recruiting environment.
You will be used to working within a fairly autonomous role and will have experience within a creative/comms agency environment (or professional services), as well as experience of working within an SME. You will also have experience of taking on HR side projects and will have experience of managing junior HR colleagues.
If you are fluent in another European Language of one of the geographies covered, that would be beneficial.
Occasional travel will be required for this role, as will flexibility to work around various time zones in the geographies you are supporting.
