HR Manager - Successful Independent DairyShaftesbury, Dorset30,000 - 35,000 plus benefitsWe are a highly successful and growing independent dairy, manufacturing and supplying a range of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing, foodservice and wholesale customers from a dedicated and well-invested processing site in Shaftesbury, Dorset.Working closely and in partnership with some of the UK's largest food manufacturers and wholesalers, we manufacture high quality ingredients that are used in a wide range of food products including ice cream, yogurt, chocolate, confectionery, ready meals, soups, sauces and bakery.An opportunity has arisen for an HR Manager with experience of working in manufacturing who can imprint their mark on this expanding business whilst working in partnership with line managers (and HR Consultants) on performance management, employee relations, recruitment and retention. We are a dynamic, forward thinking manufacturer and the successful candidate will gain the opportunity to work in a rapidly growing and rewarding organisation.A key function of this role is to communicate on many levels of the business and to show strong interpersonal skills to influence key decision makers in order to improve the future performance of the business.HR Manager Role and Responsibilities:Reporting to the Finance Director, the requirement is to deliver a proactive and flexible HR service by providing relevant and appropriate HR support to all employees, whilst driving best practice and ensuring compliance with all company procedures, documented policies and employment legislation.In particular, you will be required to:+ maintain and update manual and computerised HR information systems to ensure accurate recording of all employee information + provide general administration and an efficient support service as required, ensuring confidentiality at all times+ lead the recruitment lifecycle; agree role and headcount with hiring manager, set up recruitment advertising/ agency liaison, arrange/attend interviews, produce offer paperwork and liaise with candidates regarding induction+ monitor and evaluate induction and appraisal systems including support to managers to complete meetings effectively and in a timely manner+ be the main point of contact for employee relations issues, including grievance and disciplinary+ liaise with Line Managers on training and development needs+ manage employee benefit processes including leave of absence, annual leave, bonus schemesKey Competencies and Requirements:+ Broad exposure in an Advisor level role+ Experience of HR in a manufacturing environment + Up-to-date working employment law knowledge + Achieved or studying towards CIPD qualification+ Diplomacy, tact and influencing skills + Meticulous attention to detail+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills+ Effective organisation and project management skills+ Competent user of Microsoft office packages including word excel, PowerPointQualifications:If you are enthusiastic with the gravitas to deliver a proactive and flexible HR service and contribute to the management team, whilst simultaneously growing with the company, please send your CV, together with a covering letter explaining your suitability for the role.Interested?
