Description
A HR Officer is required to provide an efficient, proactive and confidential support function to the Human Resource Department and proactive advice to manager and employees.· Supervising the work of administration team
· 1st point of contact for HR matters, advising employees and managers on policy and procedure enquiries
· Recruitment & Selection
· Training & Development; data input, research & book training courses, venues and organise in house and external training programmes. Assist with meeting preparation.
· Employee relations; support managers through ER concerns & advice on a course of action. Assist with meeting preparation, assist with redundancies and exit process where necessary. Provide administrative assistance to the team regarding ER cases (Grievance, disciplinary hearings & investigations)
· Intranet administration; take a proactive approach to maintaining the HR section of the intranet, ensure organisation charts and other documents are always kept up-to-date.
· Database administration
· Absence monitoring
· Payroll administration
· Compensation & benefits administration
· Inductions and general HR administration
Experience:
· Degree qualified
· CIPD qualification or equivalent
· Proven background working as a HR Administrator ideally in a challenging and demanding environment
· Demonstrable background of advising employees and managers on policy
· Proven ability in using HR databases, producing standard and designing ad-hoc reports
· Able to operate in a confidential and sensitive manner
· Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
· Highly competitive user of MS Office packages
· Competent user of HR databases
· Excellent telephone manner
· Accuracy & attention to detail is essential
· Structured minute taking
· Ability to provide solutions and take action in a crisis
· Ability to set up own administration processes
· Strong time management
This role requires a highly motivated individual with demonstrated HR Management experience. You will be confident with good judgement and have proven influencing and persuading skills.
