Reed HR is working exclusively with a public sector organisation who have recently gone through a period of change. Due to a re-structure they require a HR Systems Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis.The purpose of the role is to provide accurate and timely reports and management information on HR and payroll related information to support the business operations.Be able to collate and present key statistical data so as to inform management on how to maximise productivity and efficiency.Also provide back office support and assistance to users of the IT system thrugh the use of specific, bespoke administration tools.Key Responsibilities. Develop and maintain reports to assist with data integrity.. Liaising with stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements are captured and carrying out testing to ensure delivery of these.. Providing training and support to users of the HR/Payroll systems.. To extract and analyse information from a variety of Business Applications and to present this as required including:o Regular reports for all levels of management.o Statistical returns or surveys relating to staff for external bodieso Raw Data and Analysis for project teams.o Ad hoc reports.. Act as an expert on the format and source of Employee related data, be the key adviser to the organisation on the iTrent HR/Payroll system, liaise with other departments within the organisation to ensure Employee related data is used robustly in BI reporting.. Provide strategic reporting capabilities to Project Teams involved with Business Change Projects where the provision of data from the iTrent HR/Payroll system is key.. To develop and maintain a suite of standard reports via Cognos for the Business Applications team to be able to run when required. . Understand the context of how and why each system is being used and be sufficiently familiar with the associated business processes to be able to readily anticipate, and address, difficulties arising from issues. . Undertake user acceptance testing, in conjunction with selected end-users when software patches and new releases are made available. . Proactively liaise with users to identify improvements which can be made to how systems can be used and facilitate changes.. Provide first line support to end users to ensure that issues are dealt with effectively and efficiently. . Ensure system documentation is maintained when changes are made. Essential Requirements. To have experience of report writing preferably using the Cognos report writing tool.. Previous experience of working with a variety of IT systems ideally including HR/Payroll end to end systems.
