Purpose of role: This is a true senior leadership role with one of the world's leading niche travel companies which has grown to a level where we now need an experienced HR Director to continue to help us to take the lead in developing our HR processes and procedures and growing our employee benefits offering. As well as ensuring the company has robust legal processes. This role will promote and implement human resource values by planning and managing human resources programs; directing staff. Job Responsibilities: Implement HR strategy within the organisation working alongside business leaders. Ensure the HR function and team is aligned with business objectives. Lead and develop the HR and Recruitment team. Enforce best practice and relevant employment law across the business. Ensure that best practise and employment law is followed in all employee relations casework and employment policies. Work closely with business leaders and line management providing expert guidance on a variety of HR matters. Ensure the HR function operates within budgets and strives for efficiencies and innovation. Develop effective HR procedures and policies to reflect business aims and focus. Advise on compliance and risk management issues. Act as a key health and safety partner. Work within and apply key business drivers to people management strategies. Ensure that managers and staff are fully aware of HR policies. Management of high performance generalist HR services. Introduce and drive change management initiatives and incentive plans. Oversee investigations and complex employee relations issues including redundancy and grievance. Keep all employees informed of key organisational issues. Evaluate and make recommendations on cost-effective training and development programmes. Lead on and develop an employee communication strategy and intranet accessibility. Act as the externally facing representative for HR for the organisation. Develops organisation strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organisation, strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organisational objectives. Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values. Complies legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Enhances department and organisation reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Implement a strategy to enhance company benefits to enhance company employability programme and improve retention. Day to day management of the overall HR and Recruitment functions.
