My clients who provide effective property, facilities and energy management solutions, tailored to their customer's requirements are looking for an Interim Head of Compliance/Health and Safety. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience within the following industry sectors - property services, public sector or local authority/government The candidate will be Head of Compliance looking after offices in Worcestershire and partner sites within the Worcestershire and West Midlands locations; reporting into the Director of Finance and Group Services. The successful candidate must have knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality as he/she will be giving advice and expertise about the systems and processes and will be working with my client's partners, contractors and other external organisations to promote best practice, regulatory compliance through process of trust and positive collaboration. The successful candidate will responsible for managing the risk management team of 5 and working with the Head of Health and Safety to ensure that the team adopts processes that provide comprehensive assurance about compliance for assets managed by my client. The candidate will also be auditing business activity and undertaking informal training and providing assurance about risks and mitigation strategies. Key Accountabilities To lead development of and manage processes for ISO 9001:2015, 14001 & OHSAS 18001 accreditations, including monitoring, auditing and reporting activities in accordance with ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18001 standards.Manage the clients HSEQ databaseTo manage the internal and 3rd party HSEQ audit process and implement the audit programProduce and deliver staff inductions, training, and briefings as identified relating to HSEQ activity, current best practice and changes in legislationBe the main point of contact for the HSE, Environment agency and other formal/public bodies. Experience and Qualification NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent along with Chartered membership of IOSH or Grad. IOSH working towards chartered statusGood working knowledge of CDM (2015) regulations and able to assess compliance of work activity falling under the CDM regulations.Demonstrate, solid understanding of risk management process and compliance with HSEQ legislation ACop's and industry best practice.Team management experience including completing development appraisals, performance monitoring, mentoring and motivatingExperience of training delivery along with experience of developing and training needs analysis to reflect the Health & Safety and Environmental training requirements of the organisation
