Are you an immediately available HR Manager with solid strategic experience and a love of project work? Are you looking for a contract role offering broad insight into a fast-paced media agency?
Our client is looking to recruit an interim Head of HR for the London based HR team of this fast growing and prestigious media conglomerate. Reporting to the Group HR Director and Managing Director, the Head of HR will have team management responsibilities as well as playing a pivotal role in influencing across the business. This fast-paced and constantly shifting business requires an HR professional who has experience of working in a creative media sector business and who enjoys working in an ambiguous and fluid structure.
The role requires a balanced approach to strategic and project based HR, ensuring that the team delivers an effective and high performing HR support service to the business, whilst also working at Director level on the design, implementation and alignment of strategic HR initiatives against key business imperatives. Examples of projects that this person may work on could include rolling out the appraisal process and related policies, researching and implementing a new HR system, fortifying the graduate recruitment process and developing relationships with universities, refining and developing performance management processes and many other HR projects.
The Head of HR plays an integral role in shaping the People strategy by building key stakeholder engagement within the senior level business community. This will be achieved through a highly commercial approach and an understanding and awareness of industry specific business challenges.
The successful candidate must have strong change management experience, OD and OE and proven experience of mentoring and coaching an HR team to a first class standard. Strong managerial experience blended with a hands-on and collaborative approach is also must. This person must have instant credibility, gained through the natural confidence that comes with a degree of depth and breadth of experience.
