This public sector organisation requires a HR Advisor to support the Personnel Team in providing a comprehensive, effective and professional personnel service to all staff for a period of upto 3 months while they recruit for the substantive post. As the HR Advisor, you will lead on performance management issues and be responsible for policy research, development and implementation.
Main responsibilities will include:
Advise managers on terms and conditions of employment, HR policies and procedures, employment legislation and good employment practice; to assist them in making informed decisions.
Contribute to the provision of a recruitment and selection service to the organisation, in accordance with the Recruitment & Selection policy & procedure, equal opportunities and best practice.
Provide advice, guidance and support to managers on disciplinary, grievance, sickness and employee relations issues, with support from theHuman ResourcesManager.
Work with theHuman ResourcesManager to provide advice and support to managers on issues of organisational change, including redundancy & redeployment and TUPE ensuring a fair and reasonable procedure is used to implement change.
Draft and issue offer letters, contracts of employment and amendments to contracts.
