Job title: Interim HR Advisor (FTC) - Employee Relations

Location: Birmingham

Hours: 9.15 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch (36.25 hours per week)

Looking for a new role as a Interim HR Advisor (FTC) in Birmingham?


Main purpose of the job

Providing advice and support on all aspects of HR policies, queries and issues.


Main responsibilities will include:

  • Advising and supporting group leaders, directors, group support managers and employees on all aspects of HR
  • Taking a lead role in conducting disciplinary, grievance and performance management meetings.
  • Taking an active role in absence management and maternity issues.
  • Assisting in the continuous and annual review/development/implementation of HR systems, policies and procedures ensuring best practice and enhanced employee wellbeing.
  • Responsible for delegated projects in relation to HR strategy.
  • Dealing with bespoke working requests and exit interviews.
  • Involved in the effective implementation and communication of the annual salary review process.
  • Responsibility for ensuring the firm's accident books are completed and any accidents at work are recorded, risk assessed and reported to RIDDOR, within the specified time limit, together with liaising with the firm's insurers regarding any potential claims.
  • Involvement in ad hoc project work.

The successful candidate:

  • Solid HR experience.
  • Experience of building relationships with internal colleagues.
  • Experience of providing both a results-orientated service and creative solutions to HR issues.
  • Excellent and up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation.
  • A proven track record of taking a lead role in conducting disciplinary, grievance and performance management meetings.
