We are seeking an HR Coordinator for a 6 month fixed term contract to start on Monday 28th November. The role is based in central London, a short walk from Kings Cross mainline station, Chancery Lane or Farringdon tube stations, and is working for a buoyant and cutting-edge barristers Chambers, renowned for and committed to defending freedom and civil liberties. The purpose of the role is to provide a high quality, timely and professional HR service to the barristers and staff; acting as initial point of contact in relation to policies and procedures. There is a focus on recruitment in this role from assisting with preparing job descriptions, person specifications to internal and external advertisements. You will coordinate the whole recruitment and selection process through to offer stage and on boarding. From an administrative perspective the role involves processing new starters, leavers, managing and recording sickness absence, conducting exit interviews and ensuring all payroll changes are accurately submitted to finance within the agreed timeframe. Due to the nature of the organisation there will also be a requirement to assist with the annual pupillage recruitment administration when the Chambers are hiring new barristers, in accordance with the Bar Standards Board. Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, with previous HR experience at administrative level, you will demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and ethical behaviour when dealing with confidential information. Numerate, with strong IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and excellent communication skills with the ability to work at pace whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Our client will be holding interviews for this role on the morning of Friday 25th November, decisions will be made the same day and the contract will commence on the 28th, therefore please do bear this timeframe in mind prior to applying.
