The Background:

This leading global organization is actively seeking an addition to their Global Mobility team. The successful candidate will adopt a proactive approach to managing the Global Mobility team and for ensuring the effective delivery of the end-to-end assignment lifecycle.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible but not limited to the following:

Supervise performance and create training sessions for Global Mobility and global teams within company on assignment risk, policies and procedures.

Direct Case Managers and home/host business units Human Resources for design and determination of appropriate program and package.

Investigate specific assignee issues related to assignment conditions.

Serve as a single point of contact to senior level assignees through all phases of the international assignment, to include guidance on issue resolution, point of escalation, for HR operations and business unit managers.

Guide the comprehensive pre-assignment briefing to assignees prior to assignment lifecycle encompassing all aspects of compensation & benefits, payroll, relocation, tax and immigration.

Oversee and manage the $50M global mobility budget for 175 assignees in 15 countries within the four regions.

Oversee and manage external vendor relationships: assessments, relocations, tax, immigration, culture, language, benefits.

Liaison with vendor and Human Resources regarding policy exceptions.

Liaison with Accounting/Finance managers regarding global charge backs and invoicing issues.

Oversee compliance with global mobility policy and procedures.

Guide and disseminate Global Mobility policies and procedures to Human Resources and Business Unit leadership teams.

Develop communication plans for review by the Director, Global Mobility.


The Person:

The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience dealing with: international assignment, global mobility or expatriate management issues. Applicants will have an excellent understanding of the assignment life cycle and the associated issues. Applicants with additional: expatriate tax, payroll or compensation experience would be preferable however additional support will be provided if required.
