The Background:
Reporting to the Global Mobility Manager, the Global Mobility Consultant will be responsible for the on-going management of all international assignees. This will include end-to-end assignment management, employee relations and other mobility initiatives, supporting their international assignees through the various phases in the assignment life cycle.
In addition you will also be involved in the development and enhancement of mobility policies and procedures, initiating changes and providing communication to international assignees.
The Role:
The responsibilities of a Global Mobility Consultant include but not limited to the following:
Immigration services
Administration and management activities related to cross-borders
Destination Services
Have interaction with customers, other internal teams and assist in managing external vendors on specific matters for immigration, Visa and work permit formalities, as agreed with regional-country Leadership, and address service level issues
Assistance in gathering, filing the documents required to process immigration services
Continuous follow up with designated Immigration provider/sponsor/official PRO
Obtain any visas, residency permits, exit permits that may be required by any of company personnel to visit and work in ME in accordance with local laws and regulations in force
Monitor and report to the designated company person(s) on the status of the immigration case(s) assigned
Assist in analysing and providing solutions for immigration situation and inquires
Ensure the immigration tool that contains immigration guidelines is updated on a timely basis when changes occurs in Countries of responsibility
Be an active participant in additional global projects or initiatives as agreed with his/her supervisor
Assist in advising and enabling the business (engagement SE's and managers, HR, CFM) to make well-informed staffing decisions
Providing immigration analysis and advise to make time effective staffing decisions
Maintain close relationships with Engagement leads to anticipate staffing issues and answer complex questions
Have knowledge and use of all Mobility Tools and database
Helping assignees to understand policies due to complexity of the assignment
Assist in educating the business and other departments on international mobility aspects
Assist in contributing to ensure implementation of any policy changes in line with global guidelines in country(ies) of responsibility
Adhere to Mobility operating principles and deploy "service oriented" attitude
Be supportive in ensuring working relationship with external service providers in local country(ies) is established
Manage and resolve all standard and non-standard service delivery concerns and customer queries for immigration, health insurance, and miscellaneous matters in countries of responsibility
Responsible for the coordination of Destination Services within a country, geographic unit or region
Develops and maintains relationships with key customers, suppliers and internal corporate functions to deliver seamless mobility services
Oversee execution of Destination Services by all external vendors providing services for complex assignments
Identify and meet service requirements within boundaries of policy and corporate business objectives
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal groups to ensure consistent delivery of service
Resolve disputes related to external vendors
Monitor and measure program service levels and customer satisfaction
Review and improve service processes to optimize local service delivery
Continually seek opportunities to enhance benefits to all company customers
Ensure delivery of services, advises on policy changes and implements changes as agreed-upon within the context of both market trends and global, area and GU strategies
Influence compliance through effective communication of the overall program strategy and our preferred vendors
Review and process consolidated invoices from vendors where Destination Services are initiated locally
The Person:
Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of international mobility.
Good understanding in the areas of immigration, balance sheets, assignment package review, assignee transfer process and cost projections.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, possessing a high degree of change management skills.
Excellent business acumen, analytical and creative thinking ability, and problem solving strength.
Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
Able to work independently and as a team player, working with own team and across teams to ensure that a complete HR service is being delivered
