The Background:

The role of Global Mobility Tax Manager will be responsible for providing advice and guidance on all aspects of global tax and payroll compliance on an international scale. The successful candidate will manage all compliance processes related to tax and payroll and will effectively manage day-to-day vendor relations.


The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible but not limited to the following:

Manage Company global tax and payroll risk in relation to international assignees and work with Tax & Remuneration Lead, Global Tax Departments and Global Tax Advisors to help define long-term solutions and support day-to-day queries and program matters.

Manage & Implement International Assignee Payroll and Tax Policy

Benchmark current mobility practices/industry trends to ensure continuous improvement.

Analyze program and service gaps

Gather and review employee and management feedback

Identify current and future needs and help build business case for policy change

Provide education to stakeholders regarding policy and process expectations

Support implementation, communication and coordination policy changes.

Manage Processes

Develop and maintain manual and automated tax and social security processes.

Manage internal functional partnerships with HR, Legal, Tax, Payroll, Finance & Reward on operational tax issues

Review and suggest improvements to the Global Mobility processes

Recommend solutions on cross-border tax and social security issues, assignee payroll or assignee reward issues.

Ensure integrity of global good management information in relation to tax and social security.

Country Knowledge

Detailed knowledge and expertise of global assignee payroll, tax and legal issues

Keep abreast of global business and political developments

Supplier/Relationship Management

Partner with Purchasing to ensure high quality service from global suppliers

Manage global relationship with suppliers on operational tax issues

Proactively manage cost and identify improvements through supplier relationships

Ensure SLA's and KPI's are designed, integrated and delivered upon

Evaluate service vendor overall performance

Providing feedback and training to vendors

Ensure vendor compliance to policy

Solicit process improvement/benchmark feedback from vendor


The Person:

The successful candidate will have previous experience of: international assignments, global mobility or expatriate management issues. It is imperative that applicants have a detailed knowledge of both UK and expatriate taxation issues, ideally ATT, CTA tax qualified. This opportunity would provide an excellent opportunity for applicants with a tax consultancy background to move into an in-house role.
