The Background:

This employer of choice is actively seeking an addition within their International Mobility (IM) Team. Reporting to the HR Director the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective management and coordination of international assignments for employees within the company.


The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Review, definition, communication and implementation of global mobility policies with a view to achieving consistency and clarity for stakeholders, and promoting international mobility

Involvement in the definition of international reward programmes and policies.

Management of all international mobility cases within in the Sector, ranging from ad-hoc short-term project assignments to permanent transfers of senior managers.

Preparation and negotiation of assignment letters and international employment contracts, the design of new reward packages, and the management of international tax, legal, social security and visa issues in co-ordination with external providers and internal contacts, internal accounting procedures, as well as the counselling of expatriates.

Point of contact and expert advice for the current community of expatriates, their managers, and the HR Business Partners of the Sector

Generalist HR support on international topics relating to strategic growth projects or businesses not integrated into one of the 3 Divisions of the Sector.

Coordination of all HR related activities in relation with strategic market entry projects

Setting up new project teams, international contract and legal issues, the introduction of bonus systems or management of reward cycles, as well as supporting new businesses in the implementation of HR best practice and tools ranging from performance management to engagement surveys.

Project management role in key strategic projects on the HR agenda, focussing on Organisational Effectiveness.

Set-up of an overall project management process to help the HR Director follow up on progress of the HR project agenda.


The Person:
The successful candidate will have previous experience dealing with: international assignment, global mobility or expatriate management issues. Applicants will have an excellent understanding of the assignment management life cycle and the associated issues. Applicants with additional: HR, expatriate tax or compensation experience would be preferable however additional support will be provided if required
