Knowledge Management Assistant We are looking for a Knowledge Management Assistant to join our London office. The Knowledge Management Assistant will report to Head of Training and KM.Knowledge Management Assistant Responsibilities1. To assist in the collation, profiling and uploading of client matter documents and other precedent documentation which are managed by the Knowledge Management team for the purposes of creating client deal document records and precedent collections. This will involve:. Identifying the key characteristics of each document and recording them in an electronic document profile. Uploading the documents and documentation to the firm's databases and knowledge management systems.2. To assist in deal closing meetings for the purposes of retrieving deal documents in relation to client matters. This will involve:. Liaising with attorneys and other legal staff on deal or case teams under the supervision of the KM attorneys. Assisting in the collation, profiling and uploading of client matter documents.3. To be part of the team carrying out searches of the London on-line Knowledge Management resources in response to attorney requests.4. To assist the KM Attorneys in the preparation of Knowledge Management resources training for London attorneys and other staff.5. To provide support to the KM Attorneys in maintaining internal Knowledge Management resources and client-facing resources.6. To monitor the progress of London office matters (matter tracking) to identify their activity status and the substantive party and legal information on each transaction. This will involve:. Regular liaison with attorneys in London and with Business Development and Knowledge Management staff in London and other offices. Reviewing documents from client matters to identify information to upload to the firm's databases and knowledge management systems. Preparing monthly reports for partners on the status of matters in their practice areas.Skills and ExperienceA genuine interest in financial markets and corporate law. Legal qualifications are required, with a law degree as a minimum but with the additional qualification of the LPC (commercial modules) preferred. Comfortable using technology; able to conduct effective online research and to learn quickly how to use new databases and online systems. Able to assimilate information from multiple resources.Well organized and able to prioritise workloads to meet conflicting deadlines.Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to work well with lawyers and firm personnel.Willingness to be flexible and adapt to change as new systems, workflows and tasks are introduced; a team player.
