The newly created role of Learning and Development Manager is required to lead and deploy the training and development strategy for the Company. Working strategically across the Business to ensure plans are in place to retain and develop current talent and develop the future talent for the Business Key Responsibilities : Training: Support the HR Director in defining and deploying the training strategy for the Business Work with HR Business Partners to identify and establish training needs for the Business Source and Tender for external training suppliers as required Manage and oversee regulatory training requirements , ensuring policies are adhered to and training is completed within deadlines Deliver training on key operational needs as required Development: Be the first line of support for new managers ensuring they have the skills in order for them to perform well in their roles Scope and Manage employee induction programme throughout the probation period Hold regular meetings with heads of department to ensure alignment of strategy vs Development needs Work with Heads of Department and HR Business Partners to identify employees who have potential to develop further Define and deploy an in - house Management Development Programme Provide Support to HR Business Partners in delivering individual and team development needs To be successful in the role the candidate must possess a high degree of specialist knowledge in L&D, be able to translate concepts into clear plans for action, must be able to anticipate barriers to success and plan contingencies, understand the need for succession planning , and be able to identify and monitor regulatory requirements and translate into training needs for the Business.
