Opportunity has arisen for a challenging position of a Learning & Development Business Partner.

You will need to be able to identify, support and evaluate cost effective people development finding solutions that support the business.

We are looking for a strong operational Learning & Development Business Partner to oversee multi channel stakeholder management in a group of operating companies. You will ascertain the needs of 5 business areas and liaise with outsourced learning partners to provide structure and delivery. Total population is c6000 and you will have the opportunity to reach out on a global platform and grow your team to support all 6000 staff. This is a fully operational piece with line mgmt. responsibility. We are seeking candidates none industry specific from large, matrix style organisations or a consulting background who hold an MA/Msc in Organisational Psychology or equivalent.

Your key responsibilities will be but not limited to:
· Build and maintain strong, influential relationships with senior business managers, managers, training co-ordinates and HR professionals within the operating companies in order to promote PD and gain commitment to PD initiatives.
· Partner with key stakeholders to identify PD requirements arising from business need, succession plans, performance appraisals and personal development plans.
· Create, source, develop and drive delivery of solutions that support business priorities and align with business goals and values, meeting with individuals as appropriate and managing their specific training requests.
· Attend operational, Training Co-ordinator, learning forum meetings where required in order to proactively ensure existing PD solutions are meeting current needs and to identify emerging needs.
· Where possible, adapt existing training and development offering to meet the needs of more than one business area/operating company
· Exchanging 'best practice' methodology, etc, with PD colleagues.
· Build Operating Company staff capability by providing advice, guidance and coaching in conjunction with HRDs and HR Business Partners.
· Support the performance management process by identifying development needs arising, gathering feedback on issues raised by the operating companies and advising/coaching managers on how to support their staff's development needs.
· Promote the need for managers and staff to follow learning processes.
· In conjunction with HRDs, ensure all essential learning is done on time, e.g. that new starters attend induction; that any compliance training is completed and that refresher training is done on time.
· Evaluate PD interventions, reporting on levels of activity, impact and ROI, and following up on adverse comments.
· Develop and produce a Training Catalogue that is aligned to the business' commercial and people needs across the group.
· In conjunction with the Training & Professional Qualifications Manager, build relationships with external suppliers, commissioning design and/or delivery of specific interventions and managing the contracts.
