Overview of the role Work closely with department heads and General Managers to provide HR guidance and professional recommendations to the board.Developing Training & HR best practices to be applied across the Group.Ensuring all staff are recruited, trained and appraised according to the Group practices. Key Responsibilities: Review, develop and implement HR policies and procedures in accordance with the ethos of the business.Identify people risks, opportunities and challenges and facilitate responses in line with the company HR approach.Evaluate staffing needs within each department and unit.Prepare job descriptions and advertisements.Ensure all candidates are appropriately reference and background checked.Ensure new staff are inducted in line with company processes and co-ordinate the on boarding process, delivering / facilitating training.Determine training needs and development plans, facilitate delivery of training for both new and existing staffManage staff benefits packagesManage employee relations, including managing absence, disciplinary, grievances and sicknessPolicy and procedures implementation of new HR policies, procedures and processesEnsure legal complianceBe our first point of contact for handling all HR administrative queries Essential criteria Operationally focused with a confident and strategic approach.Superb communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with key members of the executive team.Excellent problem solving and analytical skillsStrong organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesProactive attitude, tenacious, uses initiativeThorough and meticulous with extreme attention to detailAbility to organize and prioritize in a busy environmentFollow through on tasks and projects in set timescales Requirements Minimum 5 years' experience in similar position, CIPD qualified or equivalent.
